ET Consultant – Health, Nutrition & Population

About the role

The World Bank Group is looking for an ET Consultant to support its Health, Nutrition and Population (HNP) Global Practice in the Eastern and Southern Africa region. Based in Gaborone, Botswana, the consultant will work with governments and partners to strengthen health systems, improve nutrition outcomes and advance universal health coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Provide analytical support and policy dialogue to governments on health, nutrition and population challenges.
• Assist in designing and financing projects that build resilient health systems and essential public health functions.
• Analyze data on disease burden, health system constraints and nutrition indicators to inform strategic interventions.
• Contribute to the development of strategies addressing the triple burden of disease, health inequities and food insecurity.
• Collaborate with World Bank teams and local stakeholders to monitor and evaluate program performance.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in health, nutrition or population sectors, preferably in low- and middle-income country contexts.
• Strong understanding of health systems, universal health coverage and public health financing.
• Demonstrated ability to work with government officials, donors and development partners.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
