Finance Manager – Botswana

About the role

The Finance Manager will be responsible for safeguarding the financial health of the organization and driving operational efficiency. Reporting to senior leadership, this role acts as a trusted business partner, providing insight and accountability across all functions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and present financial statements including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reports.
• Monitor cash flow, manage liquidity and reconcile accounts payable/receivable.
• Oversee period‑end closings, accruals, provisions and variance analysis (YTD and ITM).
• Develop financial forecasts, engage budget owners and produce Rest‑of‑Year outlooks.
• Analyse forecast changes, recommend actions to meet business targets.
• Establish and monitor financial controls, ensure regulatory, tax and corporate compliance.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to deliver financial insights for strategic decisions.
• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing finance team, set objectives and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CFA) is a strong advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management or senior accounting roles.
• Proven track record in financial reporting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Experience in sales, distribution or logistics environments is desirable.
