Finance Manager – Botswana

About the role

The Finance Manager will be responsible for safeguarding the financial health of the organization and driving operational efficiency. Reporting directly to senior leadership, the role combines strategic financial planning with day‑to‑day control of reporting, cash management and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and present financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet and cash‑flow reports.
• Monitor cash flow, manage liquidity and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Execute period‑end closings, accruals, provisions and variance analysis (YTD and ITM).
• Develop forecasts and budgets, validate plans with budget owners and produce Rest‑of‑Year outlooks.
• Establish and monitor financial controls, ensuring compliance with tax policies and corporate guidelines.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to provide financial insights for strategic decisions.
• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing finance team, setting objectives and fostering continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA or CFA is a strong advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management or senior accounting roles.
• Proven track record in financial reporting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Experience in sales, distribution or logistics environments is desirable.
