Lodge Manager – Luxury Safari Lodge

About the role

Belmond Safaris seeks a Lodge Manager on a fixed‑term basis to oversee the smooth operation of a luxury safari lodge in Maun. The role combines leadership of staff, maintenance of high‑end facilities, and delivery of exceptional hospitality to guests.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise room allocations, check‑in/check‑out processes and ensure special guest requirements are met.
• Uphold Belmond and LQA standards across all lodge areas, working closely with the kitchen team to maintain food quality.
• Manage stock rotation and inventory levels in all departments, using expiry dates to minimise waste.
• Complete guest reports, dockets and correspondence accurately and on time.
• Conduct on‑the‑job training for staff, addressing improvement areas identified through observations and guest feedback.

Required profile

• Diploma in Hospitality Management, Tourism or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a managerial or similar role within hospitality.
• Strong English communication skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of luxury hospitality standards (Belmond, LQA).
