Owner - College Leadership

About the role

The Owner is a full-time, on-site leadership position based in Gaborone, responsible for setting the strategic direction and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the college. The role oversees academic and administrative operations, including program development, quality assurance and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee academic and administrative operations, including program development, quality assurance and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with senior leadership to manage budgets, allocate resources and support faculty and staff in meeting institutional goals
• Monitor performance metrics and guide policy decisions
• Foster partnerships with external stakeholders and promote a learner-centered culture
• Represent the college in key public, governmental and industry forums to strengthen its reputation and growth

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in higher education leadership, institutional governance or senior management in an academic or professional training environment
• Understanding of legal or professional education domains, accreditation standards and regulatory frameworks for tertiary institutions
• Proven ability to build and sustain inclusive, ethical and learner-focused institutional cultures
• Advanced academic qualifications in law, education, business or a related field are highly beneficial; experience in institutional development and partnership building is an advantage

Required skills

• Strategic planning, organizational and decision-making skills, with a track record of leading complex initiatives and managing change
• Solid financial management, including budgeting, resource allocation and oversight of financial performance
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with faculty, staff, learners, regulators and community partners
