Payments Manager

About the role

The Payments Manager will oversee the end‑to‑end payment request process, ensuring accurate and timely execution of both manual and automated payments while maintaining compliance with exchange‑control regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full payment request lifecycle, including spot checks and due‑diligence activities.
• Process and release manual and automated payment requests.
• Handle complex payment queries and resolve exceptions.
• Ensure compliance with exchange‑control regulations and reporting requirements.
• Document payment activities and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support client servicing and query resolution.
• Perform root‑cause analysis on payment issues and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• First‑degree qualification in Business, Commerce or a related field.
• 3‑4 years of experience in payments operations or a similar role.
• Working knowledge of exchange‑control regulations and reporting.
• Familiarity with payments systems and related IT platforms.
• Strong procedural adherence and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills.
