Sales Planning Analyst – 12‑Month Contract

About the role

The Sales Planning Analyst will support De Beers Group’s diamond sales operations by managing inventory forecasting, box preparation, and global stock balancing. This 12‑month contract role ensures data accuracy, operational efficiency, and compliance while delivering insights that shape strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Use forecast data to model box availability and pricing.
• Maintain consistency of product offerings throughout the ITO period.
• Provide scenario analysis and insights to support sales strategy.
• Manage splitting, rolling, and shipping operations to meet deadlines.
• Support import/export documentation and compliance.
• Maintain audit‑ready records, manage stock movements, and ensure stock visibility for senior leadership.
• Produce stock and sales reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to trend analysis, system improvements, and cross‑functional planning.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Statistics, Business Management or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Advanced data‑analysis experience with a proven ability to draw insights, write reports and make recommendations.
• Strong knowledge of the Diamond Pipeline and GSS operational procedures.
• Experience in product‑based analytics and inventory forecasting.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for data manipulation.
• MicroStrategy for reporting and analytics.
• Data analysis and forecasting techniques.
• Knowledge of PDTC operational processes.
• Understanding of De Beers rough‑diamond valuation and presentation.
