SAP MM Lead - Greenfield Implementation (Botswana)

About the role

Sabenza IT & Recruitment is seeking an experienced SAP MM Lead for a greenfield SAP implementation based in Botswana. This is a senior, hands-on leadership position for a consultant who builds SAP landscapes from the ground up and drives best-practice solutions across procurement and inventory management. The role leads the SAP MM stream end-to-end, working with business stakeholders, functional leads and technical teams to deliver a robust, scalable SAP S/4HANA solution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the SAP MM workstream from blueprint through go-live and hypercare.
• Drive business process design and SAP best-practice adoption for procurement and purchasing, inventory management, materials planning and valuation, vendor management and master data.
• Facilitate workshops, gather business requirements and turn them into functional designs.
• Configure SAP MM according to business requirements and integration needs.
• Ensure integration with SAP FI, SD, PM, WM/EWM and other modules.
• Oversee data migration, testing cycles (unit, SIT, UAT) and cutover activities.
• Mentor SAP MM team members and junior consultants and advise senior business stakeholders.
• Support change management, training and user adoption.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, national diploma or equivalent in IT, supply chain or a related field.
• 10+ years of SAP MM experience, including greenfield implementations.
• Strong hands-on configuration of core SAP MM processes and solid understanding of end-to-end procurement and inventory processes.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA is highly advantageous.
• Proven ability to lead functional teams and deliver under tight deadlines.
