Shotcrete & Pastefill Foreman

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Shotcrete & Pastefill Foreman to lead underground shotcreting and paste‑back-fill operations at our Botswana mine site. The role involves supervising crews, ensuring safety compliance and delivering high‑quality backfill on a shift‑based schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Lead local work crews, allocate manpower and manage daily shift rosters.
• Conduct pre‑shift safety briefings, enforce PPE use and adhere to Botswana mine regulations.
• Oversee shotcrete spraying, pastefill slurry preparation, pipeline delivery and backfill quality control.
• Inspect shotcrete machines, fill pumps and related equipment; report faults and coordinate maintenance.
• Maintain shift logs, material consumption records and daily progress reports.
• Stop work for unsafe conditions and liaise with Chinese technical, mining and safety teams.

Required profile

• 3‑5+ years experience as a mine foreman with a solid background in shotcrete and pastefill operations.
• Underground mining experience preferred.
• Strong safety awareness and hands‑on crew management skills.
• Functional oral English for cross‑team communication.
• Physically fit for mine‑site shift work.
• Valid mine safety or foreman certificate is a plus; African mine experience highly desirable.
