Audit Assistant Manager (Audit Supervisor level)

About the role

EY is seeking an Audit Assistant Manager to join its Audit team in Botswana. The role operates at the Audit Supervisor level, leading fieldwork, managing performance and mentoring junior staff while delivering high‑quality external audit engagements for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audit fieldwork, coordinate team activities and keep engagement leaders informed.
• Manage audit processes, assess audit risk and address technical accounting matters such as revenue, financial instruments and income taxes.
• Engage with clients, provide professional advice and identify opportunities to improve business processes.
• Develop and share market trend knowledge, supporting the growth of junior colleagues.
• Maintain and expand client relationships, referring clients to other service lines when appropriate.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting and BICA/ACCA qualification, registered member of BICA.
• 4‑5 years of experience as an external auditor in a public accounting firm.
• Proven experience planning, executing and reporting audit engagements.
• Strong client‑relationship and leadership abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
