Course Lecturer – Software Validation (ECSE 429)

About the role

McGill University’s Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering seeks a qualified Course Lecturer to teach ECSE 429 – Software Validation during the Fall 2026 term. The position involves delivering a 3‑credit course to undergraduate students, scheduled on Mondays evenings.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present course material, including lectures, labs, and assessments.
• Develop and submit a detailed Course Outline for approval by the Associate Chair (Academic).
• Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback.
• Maintain a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.

Required profile

• Minimum Master’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering.
• At least three years of teaching experience in Computer or Software Engineering.
• Professional engineering licence in Canada (member of OIQ or PEO).
• Demonstrated research, teaching, and practical experience in software engineering.
• Strong command of spoken and written English and awareness of cross‑cultural practices.
• Problem‑solving ability and flexible teaching approach.
