QA/QC Technician – Electrical Construction

About the role

The QA/QC Technician ensures that electrical construction projects meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and client expectations. Working on‑site, you will collaborate with field crews, project managers, and general contractors to verify that installations are performed correctly and documented accurately.

Key responsibilities

• Attend project handoff meetings to understand scope, QA/QC expectations, and inspection schedules.
• Conduct and document inspections of underground systems, temporary power, equipment, switchboards, and panelboards using the QuickBase QA/QC App.
• Coordinate joint inspections with General Contractors’ QA/QC teams and create non‑conformance reports for any deficiencies.
• Verify torque and megger testing records for accuracy and compliance.
• Identify punch‑list items during wall and overhead inspections and track their resolution.
• Ensure all close‑out documentation is complete, accurate, and uploaded to the QA/QC system.
• Support administrative tasks, documentation control, and travel to active job sites as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical construction, preferably at foreman or superintendent level.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce clear reports.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proactive mindset, high attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.

• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• QuickBase QA/QC application.
• Torque testing procedures.
• Megger (insulation resistance) testing.
