Senior MSK Physiotherapist & Physiotherapy Development Lead

About the role

As a Senior MSK Physiotherapist and Physiotherapy Development Lead, you will drive clinical excellence across the region, supporting the Leadership Team in building capability and delivering high‑quality patient care. You will act as the clinical expert, mentor, and trainer, ensuring best practice is embedded throughout the service.

Key responsibilities

• Identify learning and development needs of physiotherapy teams and deliver targeted training.
• Support induction processes and promote continuous professional development records.
• Provide expert clinical advice on complex cases and act as a role model for best practice.
• Deliver one‑to‑one and group training sessions, both face‑to‑face and remotely.
• Coach and develop a network of clinical mentors to sustain effective teaching.
• Collaborate with area and regional managers on promotion pathways and performance assessments.
• Champion staff wellbeing, engagement, and a culture of openness and diversity.

Required profile

• Qualified MSK physiotherapist with extensive clinical experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop clinical teams.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding, patient safety, and professional standards.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of musculoskeletal physiotherapy best practices.
• Experience delivering clinical training and mentorship.
• Familiarity with HCPC and CSP professional standards.
