About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring individual to join our experienced teaching team as a SEN Specific Teaching Assistant. The role involves supporting children with special educational needs in a school setting, helping them achieve their best academically and behaviourally.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day support for pupils with special educational needs.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold safeguarding policies at all times.
- Set high expectations for learning and behaviour and encourage pupils to meet them.
- Assist teachers in delivering tailored lessons and interventions.
- Help pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills.
Required profile
- Kind, patient and a good sense of humour.
- Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding procedures.
- Willingness to train and develop expertise in supporting SEN.
- Grades A*‑C in GCSE English and Maths, or equivalent qualification.
- Passion for supporting all children in a school environment.
