Collections Strategy Manager

About the role

The Collections Strategy Manager will lead the design and optimisation of data‑driven collections and recoveries strategies. Using analytics and predictive modelling, the role aims to improve performance, reduce impairments and enhance the customer experience while ensuring compliance with risk, regulatory and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate the rules and calculations that segment delinquent accounts.
• Continuously review collections and recoveries performance, recommending adjustments to meet short‑term and medium‑term budget targets.
• Develop enhanced collections plans through risk assessment and classification.
• Ensure Management Information (MI) is in place to monitor strategy performance and quality‑check reports.
• Validate that systems used for collections are fit for purpose and specify necessary enhancements.
• Identify new collection opportunities such as payment capabilities, reminders, engagement channels.
• Monitor compliance with internal policies, providing coaching and feedback.
• Liaise with risk management, collection operations, compliance and regulatory stakeholders to align and execute strategies.
• Manage the strategy sign‑off process, communicating changes and impacts to all stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the CVM capability team to ensure correct implementation within agreed timelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce or Management Studies.
