About the role
The University seeks a Course Lecturer to teach Solid Mechanics (CIVE 207) for a 4‑credit undergraduate course. The position involves delivering lectures, guiding tutorials, and assessing student performance.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver lectures on solid mechanics concepts.
- Conduct tutorials and laboratory sessions.
- Design, grade, and return assignments, quizzes, and exams.
- Maintain office hours to support student learning.
- Collaborate with the department to ensure course objectives are met.
Required profile
- M.Eng. in Civil Engineering or B.Eng. in Civil Engineering with at least five years of practical experience.
- Currently active practice in civil engineering.
- Member of a Canadian professional engineering association.
Required skills
- Solid Mechanics knowledge.
- Civil Engineering expertise.
What we offer
- 4 course credits, 39 instructional hours.
- Schedule: Monday & Wednesday, 09:35‑11:25 am, location ENGMC 204.
- Remuneration of $11,824.00 for the term.
