Booth Teller

About the role

Mukuru, a financial services company connecting families and communities across Africa, is looking for a customer-focused Booth Teller. As the face of the company at its branches and booths, you will make sure every customer gets a seamless experience and that every transaction is processed accurately and securely.

Key responsibilities

• Process remittance collections and send transactions accurately
• Carry out KYC verification and compliance checks
• Handle cash transactions and balance daily floats
• Monitor transaction limits and report suspicious activity
• Help customers with compliance documentation when needed
• Promote Mukuru products and services to customers
• Maintain secure cash and device management practices
• Keep the booth and workspace safe, secure and presentable

Required profile

• Grade 12 / High School Certificate, or Higher Certificate or post-secondary qualification
• At least 2 years of experience in a financial services environment
• Knowledge of foreign currency transactions
• Understanding of KYC/FICA regulations
