Head of Finance

About the role

The Head of Finance will lead Bryte Risk Services Botswana’s Financial Reporting Department, ensuring compliance with both internal policies and regulatory requirements. This senior position is responsible for delivering accurate management performance, budgetary reporting, and overseeing the group’s investment activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and control all regulatory returns and annual financial statement reporting.
• Oversee statutory reporting and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
• Lead the preparation, consolidation and submission of monthly, quarterly and group financial reports.
• Develop, monitor and implement internal control frameworks and address audit findings.
• Direct project plans, track milestones and take corrective actions as needed.
• Provide guidance, coaching and technical support to the finance team.
• Manage ad‑hoc financial projects and ensure reporting meets business needs.
• Foster teamwork, allocate workload and maintain a high‑performing department.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial reporting, regulatory compliance and internal controls.
• Demonstrated ability to lead finance teams and manage complex projects.
• Strong understanding of statutory reporting standards and audit processes.
• Experience overseeing group‑level reporting and investment management.
