SAP HCM Lead Consultant (12‑month project)

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled SAP S/4HANA Lead HCM Consultant to drive a 12‑month public‑sector implementation in Gaborone, Botswana. You will work closely with the client’s HR teams to modernise HR processes and lead a team of remote consultants.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end implementation and configuration of SAP S/4HANA HCM modules (Personnel Administration, Organizational Management, Payroll, Time Management).
• Analyse current HR processes, identify improvement areas and redesign solutions using SAP HCM functionality.
• Develop and deliver user training, provide post‑go‑live support and troubleshooting.
• Engage HR stakeholders to gather requirements, present solutions and secure buy‑in.
• Produce complete system documentation and ensure compliance with data‑privacy and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Significant experience implementing SAP S/4HANA HCM, with at least two projects as Lead HCM Consultant.
• Preferred SAP S/4HANA HCM certification.
• Deep understanding of HR processes and challenges.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder management.
• Willingness to relocate to Gaborone for the project duration and immediate availability.
