School Nurse

About the role

Enko Botho is seeking a full‑time, experienced School Nurse to promote the health and wellbeing of its students. The role acts as a vital link between the school, families, health‑care providers and community services, ensuring that health support contributes to academic success.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the school health services program and deliver direct nursing care.
• Provide health education to students, staff and parents, encouraging active participation in personal health.
• Support the whole‑child climate by addressing social, emotional and physical health needs.
• Identify and address health and safety concerns within the school environment.
• Offer health counselling, assess mental‑health needs and refer to appropriate services.
• Engage families with school staff and community health resources.
• Promote employee wellness through health education and counselling.

Required profile

• Qualified nurse with at least two years of relevant experience.
• Commitment to child safeguarding and safer recruitment practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to undergo police clearance and reference checks.
