Senior Loan Officer – Hybrid, North-East District

About the role

The Senior Loan Officer will manage the full lending cycle, from client acquisition to loan closing, in a part‑time hybrid setting based in the North‑East District of Botswana.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate creditworthiness and guide clients through suitable loan options.
• Prepare, review and finalize loan files while coordinating with underwriting teams.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and local regulatory requirements.
• Maintain high customer service standards and monitor loan performance.
• Contribute to process improvements that boost efficiency and client satisfaction.

Required profile

• Proven experience in loan origination and senior loan officer roles.
• Strong foundation in finance, credit analysis, risk assessment and lending products.
• Practical knowledge of underwriting principles and ability to work with underwriting teams.
• Excellent customer service skills with clear communication and relationship management.
• Understanding of Botswana’s financial regulations or similar markets.
