Technical Services Manager

About the role

The Technical Services Manager leads the planning, maintenance and security of Singita’s assets, ensuring compliance with OHS legislation, Singita Standards of Excellence and SOPs. Reporting to the General Manager, the role oversees a multidisciplinary maintenance team and drives sustainable, guest‑focused service delivery across all facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Assess major assets and develop replacement plans over defined periods.
• Manage workshops and maintenance staff, providing protocols and training for preventative maintenance of MEP, plant and building systems.
• Ensure safe environments for guests, staff, suppliers and communities.
• Oversee EMP and bulk service assessments, warranty management and contractor liaison for large projects.
• Control TSM budgets to achieve zero variance through efficient cost planning.
• Monitor facility functionality and compliance with standards.
• Manage eco‑friendly refuse removal and oversee the refuse removal contractor.
• Implement and maintain the property CMMS system.
• Produce relevant reports and support Singita’s conservation messaging.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a technical or maintenance leadership role.
• Civil or Mechanical Engineering degree, trade qualification or extensive operational experience in construction/facilities management.
• Proven ability to lead, develop and manage multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience working in remote environments with limited amenities.
