Financial Advisor – Gaborone (International Expatriate Role)

About the role

Our client seeks a client‑focused Financial Advisor to join their partner firm in Gaborone, Botswana. This expatriate position serves an international clientele, offering cross‑border planning, investment management, and wealth preservation services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive advisory services covering investments, pensions, and wealth planning.
• Develop trusted client relationships through proactive communication and high‑quality service.
• Conduct detailed fact‑finding sessions to understand clients’ financial circumstances and objectives.
• Design tailored financial plans that address short‑term needs and long‑term goals.
• Advise on cross‑border tax planning, international investments, and wealth structuring, including UK pension transfers and QROPS.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and keep meticulous records.

Required profile

• Hold a recognised UK financial planning qualification (e.g., DipPFS, CISI Level 4, CFP).
• 2–3 years of proven client‑facing advisory experience.
• Deep knowledge of investment markets, pension legislation, and wealth management.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with international clients.
• Commitment to high professional standards and regulatory compliance.
