Mission Support Supervisor - Botswana/Namibia

About the role

The Mission Support Supervisor ensures that mission facilities and properties are well maintained, safe, and aligned with the Church’s standards. Reporting to the Area Mission Support Manager, this role combines operational oversight, people management, and coordination of maintenance projects across Botswana and Namibia.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Mission Support Manager in preserving existing mission facilities and preventing deterioration.
• Coordinate and report on facility needs, ensuring timely resolution.
• Supervise mission home attendant and mission driver, handling hiring, performance reviews, and employee issues in partnership with HR.
• Negotiate apartment leases, renewals, and closures.
• Scope, plan, and manage building maintenance projects, assigning work to vendors and monitoring cost, quality, and schedule.
• Conduct inspections to verify compliance with approved standards.
• Maintain inventory of Church‑owned furnishings and oversee disposal of excess or unserviceable items.
• Foster strong relationships with mission leaders, missionaries, and external vendors.

Required profile

• Current, valid temple recommend or eligibility to obtain one.
• Three‑year National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum two years supervisory experience.
• At least two years of experience in facilities/property management, construction procedures, business practices, and safety/fire codes.
• Experience working in a multi‑disciplinary environment and communicating professionally with leaders, contractors, and vendors.
