Senior Site Project Manager – Civil & Modular Buildings

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Project Manager to manage a civil and modular building project based in Botswana. This hands‑on, site‑based position requires a strong construction background and the ability to own project delivery from coordination through to completion and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day delivery of civil and modular building works on site.
• Coordinate and manage civil, building and modular subcontractors.
• Monitor construction progress against the agreed programme.
• Check and verify site measurements and quantities.
• Review and verify subcontractor claims and supporting documentation.
• Ensure work complies with drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Oversee site productivity, resources and subcontractor performance.
• Identify and address delays, construction issues and project risks.
• Maintain effective site records and project documentation.
• Manage project completion, snagging and handover, providing regular progress reports to senior management.

Required profile

• 8+ years of construction site management experience.
• Strong experience managing civil and building projects, preferably with modular/prefabricated buildings.
• Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors on active sites.
• Solid understanding of site measurements, quantities and subcontractor claim verification.
• Demonstrated capability to manage construction programmes, quality and handover.
• Commercial awareness with ability to identify discrepancies in quantities and claims.
• Excellent planning, coordination and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, able to operate independently in a senior site‑based capacity.
• Availability to work on‑site in Botswana for the contract duration and to start on short notice.
