Credit Control Support – Short Term Insurance

About the role

The Credit Control Support role for Short Term Insurance is responsible for managing debt collection, monitoring customer accounts and reducing credit risk while maintaining strong client relationships. This position is focused on improving cash flow, minimising aged debt and ensuring compliance with the company’s credit policies.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely premium payments and follow up on overdue accounts via calls, emails and formal correspondence.
• Allocate receipts, reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies promptly.
• Support monthly and annual collection targets, provide performance updates and assist in cash‑flow forecasting.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and internal stakeholders (Sales, Underwriting, Claims) to resolve account issues.
• Prepare aged debtor reports, perform regular reconciliations and highlight problem accounts.
• Ensure adherence to credit policies, evaluate creditworthiness and recommend credit limits.
• Identify process improvement opportunities, support automation initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement of credit management practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance (required).
• Relevant diploma in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance (required for some candidates).
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and ability to manage complex account information.
• Competencies such as business insight, effective communication, decision quality and financial acumen.
