Flight Instructor – Certified Pilot Trainer

About the role

The Flight Instructor will deliver both ground and flight training to trainee pilots, ensuring compliance with Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulations and company SOPs. This role combines instructional expertise with hands‑on flying proficiency on the C208B aircraft.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct ground and flight training sessions in line with CAA standards and company flight operations manuals.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the Aircraft Flight Manual (AFM), company SOPs, and aircraft systems.
• Demonstrate high flying proficiency and ensure safe execution of each training flight.
• Oversee completion of pre‑flight paperwork and aircraft inspections by trainee pilots.
• Verify airworthiness of the aircraft before each training sortie.
• Accurately record training activities and maintain detailed flight training records.
• Participate actively in the company’s Safety Management System.

Required profile

• Valid Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) with Class 1 medical certificate.
• Current CAA flight instructor rating (or approved by CAA to provide instruction).
• Minimum 1 200 total flight hours, including at least 200 hours as Pilot‑in‑Command on a C208B (if holding an instructor rating).
• Active line pilot status with the employing airline.
• Successful completion of all required proficiency, competency and recency checks for PIC and instructor duties.
