Mechanic I – After Sales Team

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Mechanic I to join our After Sales team in Maun. You will be responsible for ensuring vehicle reliability through thorough inspections, diagnostics, and maintenance, supporting our commitment to excellent service and equipment longevity.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect vehicle engines and mechanical/electrical components to accurately diagnose issues.
• Examine electronic systems, perform repairs, maintenance, and upgrades.
• Conduct routine maintenance such as component replacement and lubrication.
• Schedule future maintenance sessions and manage service calendars.
• Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts.
• Provide accurate cost, time, and effort estimates for repair or maintenance jobs.
• Maintain detailed records and complete job cards for each task.
• Keep equipment and tools in good working condition.

Required profile

• National Craft Certificate (NCC) – Heavy Plant Mechanics.
• 3‑6 years of proven experience as a mechanic.
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle components.
• Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods.
• Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment safely.
• Commitment to safety precautions for hazardous fluids and chemicals.
• Good customer service skills.
• Fluent in Setswana and English (spoken).
• Valid driver’s licence.
