Salesperson – Customer‑focused Retail Role

About the role

We are seeking a self‑motivated, target‑driven Salesperson who prioritises customer service and can persuade and influence shoppers. The role focuses on generating income, maximising profit and delivering an excellent retail experience.

Key responsibilities

• Generate sales and service revenue by providing outstanding customer service.
• Perform daily sales activities to meet and exceed sales budgets and targets.
• Attract and retain customers through effective merchandising and product presentation.
• Process cash and credit transactions in line with company policy.
• Engage with customers in a customer‑centric manner, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.

Required profile

• Numeracy and literacy equivalent to Grade 12.
• 7–12 months retail experience preferred.
• Strong teamwork, self‑motivation and drive.
• Customer‑service orientation with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Attention to detail, initiative and ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of sales and prospecting processes, relevant legislation (NCA, CPA, OHASA) and basic retail operations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP.
