Lecturer – MSc Strategic Information Systems & BCom Digital Business

About the role

Holmes Institute Botswana is seeking energetic and knowledgeable lecturers to join a high‑performing team for the launch of its MSc Strategic Information Systems and BCom Digital Business programmes starting Autumn 2026 (subject to BQA validation). The role involves delivering undergraduate, honours and postgraduate modules and contributing to the institute’s learning and teaching development.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, seminars and tutorials for assigned modules, typically 4‑6 hours per week over a twelve‑week semester.
• Prepare teaching materials, assessments and provide timely feedback to students.
• Supervise dissertations and research projects where applicable.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum design and pedagogical approaches.
• Participate in departmental meetings and administrative duties related to course delivery.

Required profile

• For MSc modules: a PhD or doctoral qualification in IT, Technology or Business, or a relevant Master’s degree plus at least five years of teaching or professional experience.
• For Honours modules: a Master’s degree in IT, Technology or Business.
• For undergraduate modules: an Honours degree in IT, Technology or Business.
• Demonstrated experience as a lecturer or tutor with strong organisational and analytical abilities.
• Commitment to lifelong learning, integrity, resourcefulness and the ability to work independently and manage a team.
