Strategic Information Developer

About the role

The Strategic Information Developer will lead the design, programming, and optimisation of SSI's digital health information systems, with a focus on DHIS2. This role combines technical development, system analysis, and user support to ensure data platforms are functional, user‑friendly, and aligned with organisational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Program and code all SSI program tools, creating new modules and scripts to expand DHIS2 data capture.
• Analyse the current DHIS2 implementation and produce a strategic improvement plan to enhance usability and reporting.
• Develop performance dashboards for programme monitoring, trend analysis and continuous improvement.
• Integrate DHIS2 with other digital platforms to enable interoperability and streamlined reporting.
• Provide technical guidance, training, and support to staff and partners on DHIS2 and related systems.
• Create user guides, documentation and job aids to improve system utilisation.
• Assist in implementing software applications and databases that support SSI programmes.
• Support maintenance of servers, networks and overall IT infrastructure.
• Ensure all digital systems comply with the Data Protection Act and organisational IT policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in developing and managing information systems, preferably within the health sector.
• Strong analytical abilities to assess system performance and devise improvement strategies.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
