Tyre Fitter – Full‑time

About the role

As a Tyre Fitter you will ensure that vehicles operate safely and efficiently by selecting, fitting, and maintaining tyres for a wide range of vehicles, from passenger cars to heavy‑duty trucks. You will work on‑site at our Selebi‑Phikwe facility, applying Bridgestone’s quality standards to every tyre change.

Key responsibilities

• Mount new tyres onto vehicle rims using appropriate machinery and tools.
• Clean and paint rims before fitting tyres.
• Fit wheels correctly and match dual wheels where required.
• Inflate tyres to manufacturer‑specified pressures and perform torque checks.
• Report any defects such as studs, washers, or wheel nuts to the site supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and ensure tools and equipment are stored properly.
• Complete tyre change slips and survey reports accurately and submit them on time.
• Adhere to health and safety standards and use personal protective equipment.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of tyre types, sizes, and handling techniques.
• Physical stamina to lift and maneuver heavy tyres and equipment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Commitment to safety and cleanliness in the workplace.
