Operations Manager

About the role

Epiroc is seeking an Operations Manager to establish and lead its operations at the Khoemacau Mine in Toteng, Botswana. You will be responsible for operational readiness, aftermarket support delivery, and building strong customer relationships while ensuring safety, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Set up facilities required by customers, including maintenance workshops, warehousing, office space, IT and communications.
• Recruit, manage and develop all site personnel.
• Facilitate training for customer operators and technicians.
• Manage commissioning of new equipment delivered to the site.
• Liaise with the Project Manager to schedule machine deliveries according to customer requirements.
• Ensure availability of spares, parts and drilling consumables.
• Establish safety standards in line with Epiroc’s Global Sustainability Policy.
• Develop profitable service agreements and provide technical support.
• Communicate with customers on‑site, assess their needs and coordinate solutions with the sales team.
• Meet SLA deliverables and improve customer satisfaction year on year.
• Manage working capital with focus on inventory and receivables.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in project management.
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin.
• Experience working with OEM mining equipment.
• Sales or customer‑facing experience within mining solutions.
• Sound knowledge of mining operations and site‑based environments.
