Sales Representative – Motor Spare Parts

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Sales Representative to join our motor spare and battery division in Gaborone. The role is full‑time and on‑site, focusing on assisting walk‑in and phone customers, understanding their vehicle part needs and recommending the right solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and advise customers on motor spare parts and batteries, providing accurate product information.
• Prepare quotations, process sales orders and issue invoices.
• Coordinate with the workshop and store teams to confirm product availability and arrange deliveries.
• Maintain merchandise displays, monitor stock levels and assist with inventory replenishment.
• Follow up with existing clients to generate repeat business and upsell complementary items.
• Handle basic administrative tasks, record sales in the system and support after‑sales service, including returns and queries.
• Collaborate with management to achieve sales targets and contribute to promotional activities.

Required profile

• Strong sales and customer‑service orientation with the ability to identify needs and close sales.
• Basic technical understanding of motor spares, batteries and related automotive components, or a willingness to learn.
• Organisational skills for accurate record‑keeping, invoicing and stock management.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to work with customers, colleagues and workshop staff.
• Problem‑solving mindset to address customer issues and manage complaints constructively.
• Minimum BGCSE; additional automotive or sales certifications are a plus.
