Lodge Couple Managers (Remote Safari Lodge)

About the role

The hospitality group is seeking an experienced couple to take full operational responsibility for a remote water‑based safari lodge in the Okavango Panhandle, Botswana. You will lead all aspects of guest experience, lodge operations, staff management and financial administration while maintaining high hospitality standards in a unique lagoon environment.

Key responsibilities

• Host international guests, manage arrivals, departures and personalised itineraries.
• Oversee daily operations across housekeeping, kitchen, activities and maintenance.
• Lead, train and schedule local staff, conduct performance reviews.
• Manage budgeting, stock control, procurement, cash‑ups and cost controls.
• Coordinate menus, meal service, dietary requirements and bar operations.
• Organise river‑based activities (boat cruises, fishing, mokoro excursions, birding) and ensure compliance with waterway regulations.
• Supervise lodge and boat maintenance, monitor solar systems, water pumps and generators.
• Promote environmentally responsible practices throughout the property.

Required profile

• 5–8 years’ experience in tourism or lodge management.
• Diploma or degree in Tourism, Hospitality or Lodge Management is advantageous.
• Previous experience in remote lodge or safari operations.
• Strong understanding of hospitality operations, health & safety and sustainability standards.
