Reporting Accountant – Finance Department

About the role

The Finance Department is seeking an innovative and energetic Reporting Accountant to organise and supervise administrative and accounting activities, ensuring smooth operational execution and high‑quality service delivery to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise payments to creditors and service providers in line with accounting standards.
• Prepare annual financial statements compliant with IFRS and monthly management accounts.
• Compile quarterly reporting packs, portfolio analysis reports and IFRS 17 reporting packs.
• Draft EXCO and Board packs for review by the Finance Manager.
• Assist with operational and capital budgets, monthly forecasts and cash‑flow schedules.
• Ensure timely PAYE, withholding tax, income tax computations and regulatory returns (e.g., NBFIRA).
• Reconcile staff pension, intercompany accounts, balance‑sheet items and fixed‑asset register.
• Coordinate audit liaison for internal and external auditors and clear audit findings.

Required profile

• ACCA, BICA, CIMA or equivalent accounting degree.
• 3‑5 years post‑qualification experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in insurance or financial services is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate‑advanced) and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of IFRS 17 reporting requirements.
