Process Engineer – Mineral Processing

About the role

The Processing Engineer will lead the development, optimisation and supervision of mineral extraction and processing operations. You will focus on enhancing recovery rates, product quality, safety and environmental sustainability while supporting the profitability of concentrator plants.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement efficient mineral processing techniques to maximise recovery and quality.
• Continuously evaluate and optimise existing processes to reduce costs and improve safety and environmental performance.
• Perform technical analysis and simulations to identify improvements and troubleshoot operational issues.
• Lead process‑improvement projects, ensuring they meet budget, schedule and quality targets.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance and safety teams to integrate process changes seamlessly.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental and quality regulations.
• Prepare and present detailed performance and project reports for management and stakeholders.
• Develop scopes of work for external consultants and review contractor deliverables.
• Contribute to commissioning plans and related technical documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mineral Processing or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of processing engineering experience in mining or mineral processing.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations governing mineral processing and mining operations.
